Data Protection.
FCT – Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia, I.P., through its FCCN Unit, hereinafter referred to as “FCT”, with headquarters at Av. D. Carlos I, No. 126, 1249-074 Lisbon, Portugal, and VAT number 503 904 040, is the entity responsible for the processing of personal data.
The personal data collected shall be processed for the purposes of managing communications and responding to contact requests, based on FCT’s legitimate interest. The data shall be retained for a period of one year after completion of the procedure, for follow-up purposes and for the possible exercise of rights or compliance with legal obligations.
Name, email address, subject and message are mandatory fields, necessary to ensure that a response can be provided to the request submitted.
Personal data shall not be used for purposes other than those referred to above without the data subject being previously informed and, where applicable, without obtaining the relevant consent.
FCT may disclose personal data to processors for the purposes of pursuing the stated purposes, ensuring compliance with the applicable legal obligations regarding the protection of personal data.
Personal data shall be processed using appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure their protection, particularly regarding the security of communications and access control.
Pursuant to the applicable legislation, the data subject may exercise their rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection to processing by submitting a written request to dpo@fct.pt, without prejudice to the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority, the Portuguese Data Protection Authority — Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados, at www.cnpd.pt.
The data subject may, at any time, object to the processing of their personal data where such processing is based on FCT’s legitimate interest, by contacting the address indicated above.
