Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia, I.P., through the Arquivo.pt service, hereinafter referred to as “FCT”, with registered office at Av. D. Carlos I, No. 126, 1249-074 Lisbon, Portugal, and corporate taxpayer number 503 904 040, is the entity responsible for the processing of personal data.
The personal data collected are name, where provided, email address, which is mandatory, website addresses and their respective description. This data is processed for the purpose of enabling the submission of suggestions of websites to be preserved, as well as sending information regarding the outcome of the corresponding collection. The legal basis for this processing is the performance of steps taken at the request of the data subject.
Personal data shall be retained for the period necessary to pursue the purpose described above, including the embargo period applicable to the collected content, and for an additional period of three months for the purpose of communicating the corresponding outcome, after which they shall be deleted.
Personal data shall not be used for purposes other than those referred to above. FCT may disclose personal data to processors where strictly necessary for the pursuit of the stated purpose, ensuring compliance with the applicable legal obligations regarding the protection of personal data.
Personal data shall be processed using appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure their protection, particularly regarding the security of communications and access control.
Pursuant to the applicable legislation, the data subject may exercise their rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection and data portability, and may also lodge a complaint with the Portuguese Data Protection Authority — Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados — at www.cnpd.pt. For this purpose, the data subject should contact the Data Protection Officer at dpo@fct.pt.
